Here in Maxabellaland, Saturday is traditionally a sport, shop, sort the clothes, sweep the floors, strangle the Tsunamis (insert other 's' words here - no pun intended) kinda day. But it's nice to pause to appreciate the things in your life that are positive and affirming, whatever they may be.
This Saturday, I'm grateful for...
1. Support - because even those annoying optimists need to be told that it's all going to be okay in the end.
2. Birds - we all know I'm slightly obsessed. I like their design, I like their song, but most of all I like the fact that every time I see a flying bird I feel free and charmed and easy.
3. Toilets - because without them...
So, what's making you smile today? Link back your own Grateful post below and then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine. No hurry - we're all about laaaaazy Saturdays. Link is open all week. Happy day to you!

Another great photograph to support your topic. I am up early to go for a training run (recovering from having a sore achilles) as we have the fun run evening of 15/11 for which a group of us at work are running for a work mate that has had a stroke. Charrmaine
Sorry forgot to say No.1 is very important, support is a wonderful thing. Charmaine
I think I'm one of those annoying optimists. Support is very important.
and toilets... yes indeedy.
fantastic photo.
I haven't managed to do up a grateful post. Too busy fretting over forgetting my roots and Charlie's face plant.
But I am with you on the support thing.
xx
No (I'm with Lucy, I haven't managed my grateful post yet...but I'll get there a bit later. In the meantime, I too am grateful for support - especially since my main source of support (hubby) is nicking off to NY at the end of this week for 12 days and leaving me with the kiddos!!!!! help! Have a great day xxx
Birds are pretty amazing. I'm grateful for chickens, especially Kentucky Fried ones.
The first word that Miss A has registered is 'birdy'. Every morning she looks out the window at the trees when we ask 'Where's the birdy?' as they start their morning songs.
I love your support for annoying optimists. It's so true! (I confess to being a bit of a Pollyanna too.) Did you have a plumbing problem this week as well as your job being up the in the air? Big week at Maxabellaland. When do you hear about your job?
love this linky xo
Number 3 made me laugh out loud. My house currently has no toilet so I'll be very grateful indeed when the new ones are installed! Thank you again for a wonderful list xx
Wow, what a list!
I've just scooted over to look at the photos of the twins and they are just gorgeous....what a shock everyone must have been in, I can't even begin to imagine the mad scramble there would have been to alter the nursery, change prams etc.
Here's to a fabulous weekend, enjoying the blossoms and perhaps a little home baking,
Felicity x
Oops, that last comment was meant to be for one of your lovely linkers....don't know what I did!

am trying hard to link up but I think we might be out of words this weekend! hmmmm, never thought that would happen but we both (nic and i)seem to have hit an exhausted point IRL...so I think i am sticking to reading blogs this weekend...
Gill xo
Toilets indeed ....especially when both your 4yrs have to go immediately.
Yes, where would we be without support
Twins the most surprise of all ;) twins are awesomeness , double the blessing !!
Trish xx
thank goodness for optimists...x
oh, and toilets!!!
Support is such a wonderful thing!
and toilets..well lets just say id never camp for that reason!
love your grateful list - everyone needs support, even the optimists! i don't think humans could function without it!! toilets are another issue. humans have lived without them, but today would probably be consider them more important that support! just very convenient devices! love that you love the birds xx
YAY for toilets LOL!
And support...thank goodness for friends & family & people who care! Support is a wonderful thing :)
Have a great weekend my dear!
xo
Oh, it's only taken me about 7 hours!! but I've finally done my grateful post :-) xxx
Ah yes. Some wonderful thing's to be grateful for!
I'm new playing along. Fab idea! :D
I always appreciate support especially on those times when you feel like you're going crazy. And I find a flock of birds flying so mystical & I'm mesmerized everytime. Joining your linky for the 1st time. Have a good weekend!
Great kist, as always.
No 1 is so important and today my low point was because I simply felt I didn't have any.
Thankfully, I still found something to be grateful for :)
this is such a healthy therapy this linky list. thanks.
support - i'd be a crumpled heap on the floor at the moment without it. glad you're getting some.
birds - listening to my chickens while hanging out the clothes always makes me smile.
toilets - after being without one at our house recently, oh yes! we now have one sitting in the backyard. i have considered growing a plant in it, but apparently i am not allowed ;(
have a great week!
Thank you for the visit and the comment and the reminder in this post that we need to remember to be grateful for the good things :)
And I could have sworn I commented on my first visit this morning so I apologise :)
An interesting mixed bag to be grateful for this weekend! :) Love that picture of the jetty and beach. I didn't do Saturday gratefulness yesterday...I was too busy being grateful for some sunshine here in Melbourne!
I'm so glad you found me through the blog hop! Your blog is delightful!
'mumming' ...what an adorable term...we don't say that in the states...SO cute. :)
definitely an interesting grateful list.
where would we be without support but especially where would we be without a toilet!!
